"In Plain Sight" is generated by a post-election state of mind. Reflecting on individuality, each artist presents a work that is in a way a self-portrait. When exhibited together, the works become a reflection of a far more complex social condition. Like hunters camouflaging themselves in the forest, the artists utilize familiar symbols and objects. However, behind the facade an ulterior motive slowly unfolds, revealing a conflicted state of being. This meaning hides within the visually seductive appearance of the work, addressing issues such as language, xenophobia and identity.
